How it Works
1. Donate your excess food supply
The food items that you cannot sell or use can go toward helping an organization in need. Now you have a time-efficient, transparent, and rewarding way to get the second helping going where it can help most!
2. We’ll help you match with organizations who need a second helping
Organizations in need will message you if you have a donation they need. Chat with them to arrange a meeting. These organizations range from sports leagues, event organizers, food banks, schools, and more.
3. Sticker, wheels, go!
Package your goods and stick one of our stickers on. Your goods are ready for pickup and transport!
4. See how your donation has helped and what you saved in ways that make sense.
The receiver will rate you and send you feedback on how your donation has helped. Our tracker will keep track of all your donations, not just with numbers but also with a visual to show how you’ve helped your community and environment!
Spotlight Stories
The leftover plums from the local farmer’s market would have been tossed, but afoodable helped us reach out to the farmer’s market. They generously donated the plums to the boys’ U12 junior soccer team. The plums arrived securely packaged with only some cosmetic imperfections, and were a sweet half-time treat! We won a delicous 3-0 victory!
